Caroline Tabac's visionary artwork runs the gamut from sensual to minimal, organic to geometric. In every iteration, she is known for a meticulous attention to detail and a willingness to strive for perfection from every angle. Experimental and inventive, Caroline embraces all manner of materials, influences and inspirations. In fact, her unique sculptures often harmonize seemingly incompatible materials to sumptuous effect. In her Figures collection, she artfully interprets the voice of the steel with organic, fluid shapes that relieves the weight of the material, adding lightness in its place. Her Acrylics & Lights and Woods & Colors collections, meanwhile, demonstrate a remarkable grasp of the interplay between geometric shapes, light and negative space. No matter the style or material, her art creates an abstract realism, possessing a quiet sensitivity, balancing between elegance and refined simplicity. Originally from the South of France, Caroline traveled extensively across Europe before moving to the U.S. in 2001. Immersed in the Miami arts scene, she studied drawing and painting at the Miami Art Center before finding her true passion in metal sculpting. In 2005, she opened her Sculpture Studio at the historical Stutz Business & Arts Center in downtown Indianapolis. Her works are found in private and corporate collections locally, nationally and internationally. .
